Doubtful; I mean, it would be self defeating to say, "why did we try her in the first place without evidence just to appease the anti-American sentiment?".

They were trying to frame Amanda. If the CIA subjected Prosecutor Mignini to a multi day interrorgation without a lawyer or recording, they could have gotten him to confess something.

Even if they do, it will be pointless. Only Amanda Knox and her boyfriend (accomplice) know the answer to most of the important questions and Amanda will never show up for trial. So knows she has gotten away with the murder and she will never go back voluntarily. Since our current President lacks the integrity to honor Italy's legal extradition of Amanda, any trial will be an exercise in futility. It is no wonder the rest of the world despises us so much. But Amanda is living the NEW AMERICAN DREAM. Commit murder, get away with the crime and then get rich and famous off of the murder. Sad reality we live in that such a person as Amanda becomes a millionaire and a household name, while name of the girl she killed slips in obscurity.
