Why did Obama go to congress for an ok to attack Syria?
He said he didn't need to go through congress. Even if they vote no it looks like he is going to do it anyway. I don't think we should do it, but if he does are we headed for another war?

Well, it's always good to get broad support for military action. It makes us appear stronger abroad, and shows the enemy that this isn't just the whim of a single leader, who will be out of office in a few years.
You say that if they vote no, it looks like he is going to do it anyway. That's interesting --- what leads you to that conclusion?
