Can you fly outside the US with a/few misdemeanor traffic tickets?

I a (few) traffic tickets out there, and I am needing (emergency) to leave the country. Do you think it will be a hassle getting back in?

Yes, I enjoyed driving fast in my younger days... 69 Camaro at age 18 screamed "faster". Stupid answers are not appreciated.

Update:

I am an American.

They are misdemeanor

I will have to renew my passport.

Just want to make sure I don't get "deported" back to California without some spending money.. LOL j/k

Update 2:

I am an American.

They are misdemeanor

I will have to renew my passport.

Misdemeanors will not cause you any problem. If you have to renew your passport before you can go....how urgent is this trip? can you wait the 4 to 6 weeks that it takes to get the renewal by standard processing? or do you want to have it expedited and get it in 2 to 3 weeks. Or...is this a true emergency and you need it as fast as possible? In that case you need to call the nearest Regional Passport Agency for an appointment , and get your passport in a few days.

You will not have a problem getting into the US, if you are American. It's getting into other countries where they might have an issue. Misdemeanors are not usually a problem. You will need a passport to travel.

They might give you a problem with the passport. When I tried to get mine renewed they asked me if I had any criminal record and if I had warrants. I never had this so they let me have it. I would call the passport office.
