Ears crackling/popping for almost a month?

Almost four weeks ago I had an ear and throat infection for which my doctor prescribed oral antibiotics. a day after I finished taking it for five days I caught a cold. My ears didn't hurt but a few days before my cold was completely cleared my ears started popping and crackling. At first it depended on which side I slept. Now it seems to be on both but mostly on my right ear. There's no pain at all. Just an annoying crackling/popping sound and occasionally I'll feel some pressure. What might this be and how could I get rid of it? it's been almost a month.
