How can I tell if something is meant to be a top or a minidress?

I know this is a silly question but it's really bugging me. I bought a garment from a charity shop yesterday, the relevance of the source being that it wasn't in a particular section of the shop as it was second hand. I'm fairly tall - 5 ft 11. This garment reaches one third of the way down my thighs when I wear it. It has no particular structure - no pleats, not flared and so on. So, I can't tell if it's supposed to be a minidress for a shorter person or a T-shirt for a taller person. How would I be able to tell? I know it doesn't matter but it's doing my head in!

    I don't know.

Just take one side of the bottom of it, and tie it in a knot.....and wear it with whatever else you want.

Jeans, shorts, heels, boots, flip flops or anything that inspires you.

Or you can tie up the bottom edge in the centre...and wear with whatever you want.

Personally, I when my clothes are like that I just wear leggings with it. You can never go wrong with them! :)

  • I would pair it with leggings
