What kind of plant is this?

I saw this in the wild up in some canyons in Idaho. Any idea what it is? http://www.flickr.com/photos/33627182@N02/96654975...

Indian paintbrush, Botanical name is Castilleja. Amazing colors on the one you found. It's obvioulsy stressed for nutrients and water by it's growth pattern. But still that is one nice plant. Next time remove the old brown petals and expose that pruple stem.

They are shaped like the igomopsis flowers which are trumpet shaped.

Source(s): I Googled wild flowers in Idaho. Didn't find one with the yellow on it.
