What is the definition of 'white / caucasian'? Am I actually 'mixed race / other'?
I come across the term 'white/caucsian' a lot when it comes to dating profiles.
When filling out my own, I usually I put 'mixed / other'.
What should I put? My father was Australian and my mother Philippine. My skin isn't dark but a bit tanned. I have black hair. I have some Asian features like being short (5'4"), lightweight (54kg), strong but not muscly for example. But I can go facial hair quite well and easily; having a goatee and mou.
I'm suffering a bit of an identity crisis here and I'm 30; you would have thought that I would have worked it out by now but I haven't!
I need to know as when I browse girl's dating profiles, I get hopeful when I see one that I want to write to...but then I don't because they specify 'white/caucasian'. I respect their wishes and don't contact them as I don't think I fit that category of ethnicity.
I discussed this with my sisters and their boyfriends and they concluded that I was 'white / caucasian' but I'm still unsure. Some opinions or answers from some more impartial people I feel would give me a better idea and perspective.
It would stand to reason that this issue is also causing a bit of trouble with my self-confidence.
Thanks in advance for any helpful responses.

Regardless what they put as their "preference" I would still contact them. Unless they're extremely prejudice against certain races most will at least humor your attempt to try and "woo" them. Don't people know we're all a "mixed" race anyway...most of our ancestors came from somewhere else! You have the ability to pull off white/Asian/mixed, you can be whatever you want! I'd prefer you just be you.

As per all of the available info which is out there,
and, if I were you --
Socially: I'd begin a description of myself as: A 'Very Interesting Mixture Indeed'!
Pique the interest .... and then let 'em find out about YOU from there.
