What would Jesus do...about Obamacare?

He would turn it into stone.

Jesus taught a lot of Empathy, Compassion, and Equality as well as love

so Jesus would sit down with Obama and talk the healthcare plan into working out equally for everyone in a fair and compassionate way

Jesus said to heal the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the poor. He said to take care of widows and orphans. He said "What you do for the least of them, you do for me".

He also said that those who refuse to help others will be turned away from heaven, no matter how much they "believed" or "preached".

In this country, theists call feeding the hungry "creating a food stamp culture" and widows "welfare queens" and healing the sick "socialism". They preach the exact opposite of what their jesus taught. If jesus came back, they would vilify him as a "liberal" and crucify him all over again.

He'd probably say it doesn't go far enough. I can't imagine Jesus advocating laws that allow at least 30,000 people to die every year from treatable conditions just because they didn't have insurance.

EDIT: Oh, look, someone thinks Jesus wrote the letter to the Thessalonians.

Dan the man, Does Christ represent freedom are slavery? Encase you do not know it, it is freedom. Giving to the poor is charity, not forced slavery to taxes. What is your definition of poor? I do not mind helping people that can not work and are poor because of that. But Dan how many can work but do not wont to work. are have made up there minds to have a baby just to get government money. Do not say that is not true because I see it every day. Yes we do need a better system. but not one that will make more people poorer. Wake up Dan, you are against us but we are not against you.

Jesus favored a universal health care system.

I'm sure if Jesus knew how this disastrous plan came into being,

He would be against it. He also told us in the scriptures that

"If a man will not work, he shall not eat" II Thessalonians 3:10

in regard to food stamps.

Jesus would of course repeal a law ensuring everyone has health-care because it's not like he would want us to stop people from dying from a lack of insurance. Yeah don't expect this stuff to make sense.

Keep it, The new system puts the old system to shame in every way, It was a system that really did need the fix and it is all for the better for every american
