If Ariel Castro to a plea deal to avoid the death sentence, why would he commit suicide?

Doesn't anyone have any common sense any more? Does it make any kind of sense that Ariel Castro would take a plea deal for life in prison to avoid possibly getting the death penalty by going to trial, then commit suicide? I know that no one is sorry he is dead but COME ON! I scares me that the general public is weak minded enough to not see the conflict in reasoning here. No criminal would have worked so hard to avoid the death penalty just to take his own life a month later. I would love to hear a logical and reasonable explanation for this. I don't buy that he was suddenly overcome with remorse.

Often times, in high profile cases like his? The lawyers take over and make the big decisions.

However, having said that? It is quite possible that Ariel Castro was assisted in his suicide or was murdered.

The big problem we have here is who cares?

He was murdered. But, he was a very willing accomplice in his own death. The fact remains, even IF is actions were a version of " suicide by cop ", the fact remains he was murdered. And, law enforcement was the murderer. Cops do it all the time. No one cares, because it is people like Castro who are murdered. But, it doesn't matter what His Honor the judge sentences a prisoner, if the cops want the prisoner dead, he will either have an accident, or he will commit suicide.

The answer is that he was a coward. He was scared of the death penalty so he did a plea bargain. He was scared of a life of incarceration so he committed suicide. In his life he was nothing but a bully. Bullies make the biggest cowards.

The way I see it is that this person was a control freak and manipulator. He manipulated those young women/girls into his car so he could take them home and control them. When caught, he manipulated the court system so he would have control over his own demise. He wasn't suddenly overcome with remorse. He carried out his plan of controlling the situation he had gotten himself into.

Maybe he realized what kind of life he would really have and how he would be treated by the other prisoners. It's just as possible as what you're suggesting. I wouldn't be surprised either way.
