You can't turn it off. Stop answering the the category you have it in, or answer in that category less often. I wouldn't mind having that option either... to choose to display the badge or not. But unfortunately, we don't have that option.

You received the badge for the Laptops & Notebooks category, all you have to do is stay out of that category and not answer any questions. The badge is all about contribution and if you do not contribute in that category the badge will go away, it is the only way the badge will go.
