What do you think about the Porsche 918 Spyder?

It just ran the third fastest lap ever of the Nürburgring Nordschleife track in Germany. The only two cars faster are dedicated non-street-legal racers. It's beautiful (much more so than the Ferrari) and a Porsche, so it will have wonderful seats and nice interior appointments. It's a super hybrid hyper car, so it's a taste of the near future rather than just an isolated one off. It get good gas mileage!

BUT it costs most of a million dollars and only 918 of them will ever be built. It's a test bed for new Porsche technology. That technology will flow down into Porsche's normal production street cars, just as did the Carrera GT's technology which is now apparent through the Porsche line of sports cars and grand tourers.

It looks amazing. And I don't think it looks like a Ferrari 360. I think Porsche announced last night that the new 918 is now the fastest production car around the famous Nurburgring race track.
