Has anyone had there home owners insurance cancelled for a minuscule reason?
In short I've had Allstate for almost two months when I got a letter stating that my homeowners insurance will be cancelled because I have loose or missing shingles and if I correct the problem that they may reinstate me. I find it hard to believe that they would cancel me for a reason like that. Also mind you I live by the water but not in a flood zone.

They surely will, if they are loose, they will fly off when winter comes, and the insurance company will be responsible for replacing the roof.

Loose shingles pose a possibility of avoidable water or wind damage.
They have a right to expect proper maintenance if they cover losses.
