Cross Country questions?
Are XC spikes worth it? Will I ever use these outside XC races? Btw...I'm a senior so I don't see the point in buying them to use for like five races.
Secondly, why do highschool races happen on grass fields. Most other races happen on concrete so I don't why its only grass races.

as a former cross country runner I definitely recommend it. it may not seem worth it but it is. it helps with speed and the spikes are better on grass. also it's good races are run in the grass because it's easier on your feet than concrete

Cross country means in the country as in grass so they run in parks or golf courses.
It is not a road or track race.
Whether you need spikes or want to use racing flats is up to you.
I would not use training shoes they are too heavy and slow.
If you run track you can buy racing flats and use them in track practice and maybe some races, and you can use them in road races.
