I have 2 female pits 1 just gave birth the other I have a friend watching when can I bring her home?
Queen is a three-year-old pitbull. And I was Indecisive if I wanted to mate her. Then I seen karma on craigslist I wanted to see if queen would be a good mommy. So Karma was her test baby. They get along perfect and Karma is now nine months old. We mated queen and she was about to deliver. So I asked my friend to take karma for a week. I miss karma dearly and I want her to return home and it's not even been a week when is it appropriate time to introduce karma back home with the new puppies. I also want to keep one of the new puppies a female would that be too much three female pits in one house. And Karma is such a mamas girl if I was a touch queen she always comes up and Wags her tail in is my face for praise so how and when should I introduced a new puppy to karma. Please help I don't want any problems or Jealousy I just want to keep queens name alive bye keeping one of the puppies. Ty
First and fourth most queening karma are my daughters they maybe my dogs but they are my daughters I do not need hateful answers from mean people I want honest answers to my question. And FYI karma is Spaded i do plan to Spade the new puppy and I didn't want to Spade Queen just yet cuz I didn't know if I wanted to have babies. And I'm sorry but there are other animals that are in shelters as wells beside pit bulls just because my dog's breed is known to be vicious doesn't mean that she is. The entire neighborhood loves her the kids love her she's a well behaved both my dogs are very well behaved it is a responsible pet owner like me that has to suffer from mean people saying hateful things about my dog's breed they are Up to date on shots have tags and I also have insurance so I am a responsible pet owner. All dogs even if they're classified as vicious just needs a loving caring pet owner some love and compassion people judge the breeds but as the peopl

First: you seem to be posting from the UK. Pits are banned there.
Second: You bred pits to "see if queen would be a good mama"....that's a wonderful reason to breed such an overbred TYPE of dog. You have a mongrel pit-mutt. Those dogs you find everywhere in shelters and on craigslist. You made MORE of the SINGLE MOST EUTHANIZED BREED.
You do realize that once the 9 month old dog matures she will try to be dominant of the adult female, right? And a third female will make it so much worse.
Spay all of the dogs you have. Sell the puppies with a spay/neuter contract that REQUIRES the owners to spay or neuter their dogs by 6 months or you will repossess them (you can legally do this if you have a legal document signed by the new owner)
There is no reason to keep your mutt pit's name alive. She's not a high quality dog, she's not benefiting her breed by making more puppies. She's making things worse for her breed by taking homes away from pups already alive and in shelters. they will now die.
I hate the ignorant and selfish idea of keeping a PET dog's "bloodline" going. Its selfish, the dogs have nothing to their name to show for the generations of low quality puppies. And the people who buy your puppies will likely do the same thing, making more litters of pit bulls to saturate the market and make life difficult for shelter workers.
EDIT: I never once said anything about pit bulls being vicious. I'm saying you are contributing to the destruction of the breed by making MORE of them. there are 20 THOUSAND pit bulls and mixes listed on Petfinder.com right now. that number never changes no matter how many are adopted or euthanized. The only breed with more dogs is the Labrador...those are the top two dogs euthanized in shelters in the US, but people keep making more and more of them when there aren't enough homes for them. GOOD homes, that won't dump the puppy when the cute wears off and it doesn't self-train not to piss in the house.
Most dogs bred like yours end up in a shelter before they hit two years old. And the chances of a pit bull getting adopted are nearly zero.
I do not hate the breed, I adore the American Pit Bull Terrier. What I hate is people who breed these backyard bred common pit-mutts into oblivion for no good reason.
It breaks my heart to know more dogs will die because of you. It breaks my heart to know that even though you consider your dog to be your daughter, you put her life at risk to "keep her name alive". Far too many dogs die because their owners wanted that but didn't know what serious problems looked like.
it breaks my heart to know 2.5 million dogs die every year in shelters. dogs just like yours, just like mine. Wonderful pets who just needed a home but ran out of time...euthanized and stacked like firewood in a freezer.
I wish we could make unlicensed dog breeding illegal. Make it a requirement for someone to buy and maintain a license to breed their animals, and if they do so without a license, they face fines.
Also: its "first and foremost" and Spayed. A spade is a type of digging tool.
EDIT2: @lora: Your response to me was very difficult to read. I'm not telling anyone to put their dog down, I'm telling them to stop breeding them. Not just this owner, but ALL "pit bull" and other PET QUALITY dogs. Not every dog should be bred. Just like not every human should reproduce.
And you telling me I should be "put down" for my comment is just...I don't know. You want me to DIE for a comment I made on an anonymous web Q&A board? You do realize that telling someone to kill themselves is a felony, right?
I hope you never reproduce.
Source(s): tl;dr: You had no good reason to breed your dog. Thank you for contributing to the overpopulation and overbreeding of the pit bull. Thank you for killing more dogs. Spay and neuter all of your dogs. - SaraLv 78 years ago
This is something you should have talked to a vet about before you bred your dog. Having your dogs up to date on vaccines isn't enough for you to consider yourself a responsible owner. It means you meet the minimum level of care. A responsible owner would have their dogs spayed (not spade, that's a shovel or a card suit) unless they had won a championship conformation title or field trail record. An ethical breeder would not list their male on Craigslist to find females.
Why do you care so much about "keeping her name alive"? Is she a show champion or working dog? If she's not, there are much better ways to keep her name alive than producing puppies that add to the number of dogs put to sleep in pounds. Even if all of your puppies get good homes and never end up in a pound (which statistics say is almost impossible) they're taking a home that could be filled by a dog that's already in a shelter.
Breeding your dog without a title, without a good waiting list, without genetic and joint screening, without using a male that's met the same requirements and without a contract is unethical. It's harsh and it's the truth.
Call your vet and ask them when you can bring the other dog home. Then get both of your dogs spayed.

If you love your dog, perhaps you will want her to have puppies. I can understand this, because you may think that you can reproduce your wonderful dog. Think about this. If you look at the diversity of the puppies temperaments that were produced in the same litter as your beloved dog, you would appreciate that you can not ever get another dog like the one that you have now, your dog is unique.
The facts and figures about having just one litter would blow your mind. There are kind and caring owners who desperately want their delightful dog to have a litter of puppies and they have homes for them all. These kind and caring owners do home checks and they think that this is the end of their obligations. Unfortunately these puppies go on to produce puppies. In the interim some of them are abused and left alone to suffer. Lots of them are used as breeding machines to produce several litters of puppies. Some will also be used as fighting dogs or bait.
At the end of the day, one litter of puppies produces thousands of puppies which are ultimately euthanized. Please before you endanger your dog by mating her; visit a rescue home where they have no choice other than to kill healthy dogs.

Pits are very great dogs , but when u have 2 or 3 of the same sex running around be it in the same home or what ever there's gonna be jealousy and possible fights no matter how old the dogs are rather they were raised together or not , Dogs have there pact instinct basically the alpha and omega of any breed , im not saying that they will fight but there is a higher chance and its not because there pits , i have 2 females myself there litter sisters and there is one who is always trying to be the more dominant of the 2 , so for the fams safety as well as the dogs safety we separate the 2 , I personally wont breed either one not because of the breed itself its because alot of pepole have mis consumptions about the breed adn on top of it to many pepole want pits for the very reason why they have such a bad rep and thats to fight them , I personally dont think i would bring Queen home as of yet for the siple reason shes a new mom with new pups any dog will atack another dog who gets near there new babies its in there natuarl instinct to do this , all i can say is becarefull no matter what you decide

sure keep the dog's name alive, keep one puppy and let the others die in a shelter. Which is what will happen to byb pit bull pups. People rant they love the bread, yet they allow them to be over breed and die in shelter. I don't get it. I am a yorkie person, but most of the pits I know are nice, Yorkies are great dogs, but we spay and neuter to protect the breed, we don't want to see them lined up to die, So what is it with Pit owners, they seem to want to see dogs die.

Look, a BYBer.
Dogs are not mommies. Dogs are dogs. They dont have any emotional attachment to their offspring at all. YOU wanted the ill bred mongrel puppies so you can make money off selling them
You need to stop being a BYBer and spay your damn dogs. There are enough ill bred pitt like yours clogging up shelters, we didn't need more.
The dogs are yours. Your child can not legally own the dogs so stop acting like it was your chidls faught that you are nothing more then a greedy BYBer who wanted ill bred puppies to sell
You spew nonsense becouse you know you are a BYBer and you know you are only interested in the money you will make off your crap bred pitt bulls and dont care one wit about the dogs in shelters

Unless you have a completely separate space to keep your other dog, leave her at your friend's house until the pups are gone. And ditto what Frankie said. I was going to write something similar, but why bother when it was so well said?

Well Frankie h ain't U just the must have guide to statistics about breed l, blood line and sheltered accomodation for dogs lol sori mum of queenie U have just been tried n sentenced by judge n jury on ere for simply admin for a bit of advice... God help ya tho if you actually needed serious info ... Frankie let me guess U was either brought up around shelters for dogs or U work for a place that takes in abandoned dogs oh look ABANDONED not bred n mixed with a dog that is literally every breed in one not over bred... Y dnt U go on Tele or pod cast online to the ppl that put dogs in pens to deliberatly rip each otherto prices for greed or those who just leave their so called pets to just wander the streets because they can't be arsed.. No this person is not selfish or allowing other unfortunate dogs to be killed how dare U make that comment who the hell R U to say that about someone U dnt kno U ignorant **** hole. How can U say she is adding to the over population of the breed lol like her pups wat between 1 n 14 pups are really makin the whole world too over crowded with the same breed ... Get a grip, and a life are U seriously saying this dog owner shud have her dogs put down sori you called em muts Who R U the pup police U shud be the one bein put down for the comments U have made to this person... If U dnt like watching the dogs that need to be killed everyday because shelters can't cope with the low funds or no space here a bit of advice for U stop wtchin it then actin all high n mighty on ere as tho U do actually care get off ur backside n tell ppl who are actually hurtin their pets. Perposly, Beatin em or just plain torturing. Queenies mum has done nothin wrong by matin her dog what the hell it got to do ith n e one as long as she not doin it to the point that her ***** ends up seriously ill ... Hello mum of queenie just do it carefully n gradually dnt push queenie into anythin too fast go at her pace even if it means u goto wait till new pupies R gne then so be it. These R ur babies at end of the day not to sound nasty but all these comments on ere I could prob put my yearly wage packet on only one or two of them having a dog as a pet not an item that they own...queenie will let U kno way she comfy with dnt worry about that. Good luck x oh and just a question for you frankie if you have a child would you at 6months old and have his or her bits and bobs snipped/cut away because the world is already over populated and they will procreate time after time, dnt see that fema camps or concentration camps are up and running and reducing human "over breeding" Or is that against our human rights? You know that old chesnut! Who actually put us In charge of every living creation....
Edited... FRANKIE 'put down' does not mean go and kill your self does it? You go on about dogs in shelters and they will get killed due to over population, well where I come from they don't put a healthy dog down. Daisy only asked about bringing her two females back together and about introducing the puppy, you jumped on your high horse and she was wrong n trying to guilt trip her...
