Why is America selling weapons of mass destruction?

I have a feeling that the US has changed tactics in the middle east, i feel that they are looking to strengthen Saudi Arabia as well as Israel and let them deal with the region themselves instead of the US having to intervene, the Saudi's have been funding most of the recent wars and conflicts, they provided well armed and trained Jihadis for the Libyan and now the Syrian conflict, they are also sending people into Iraq to try and weaken the Shiite dominance, they are also providing Israel with anything they ask for militarily.

If this is the case then i think its a bad move, Israel and Saudi Arabia are the 2 most hated countries in that region and probably the world and i think this will all blow up in their face, nobody wants to be told what to do by people they hate, this seems obvious to me but not to US policy makers, perhaps they are doing it because these 2 countries are also lining their pockets, whatever it is i don't think it will work

WMD = Nuclear, biological and chemical (poison gas) weapons.

Clusterbombs aren't WMD.

In any case why are you not asking why Saudi Arabia is buying these weapons.......or is it because your bigotry and intolerance only goes one way....... to the so called "nasty" western powers.......?
