Should we go to war with Syria?

If Syria is threatening to destabilize our great nation with war and death, then I believe it is well within our right to defend ourselves against such an evil. We cannot just sit idly by and wait while certain events take place, especially events that could possibly affect the U.S. I for one would gladly fight for our nation, as flawed as is it, but its where i live and the only place I know

Not now - Islamists are the most organized and powerful of the opposition groups. If we "helped" the opposition now, all we would be doing is trading a bad regime for a worse one. Assad sucks, but he is preferable to al Qaeda
