Car accident other person claiming injuries ?

I got in a car accident which I will admit was my fault. The damage to the cars were very minor. We only scratched into each other so nothing too major happened. So now this lady is claiming she has injuries when the car accident was so minor! She says something about her tissues and who knows what. Also her child was not in the car seat and I have a picture of that! What can I do?

People are so pathetic, also looking to make as much money, doing as little as possible! However, now that she is claiming injury accident it will be left up to the insurance companies to hash out the details. The more firepower you can give your insurance, the better! They are known for being dirty and will use any means necessary to not have to pay claims. Esp., when it's to someone that isn't insured by their company. Sounds like you have a basket case on your hands, that doesn't care for their own child's safety! I would not talk to this person, nor should you ever admit fault. Right or wrong, it will save you a lot of money in the end. Just turn it over to the insurance company and let them do what you pay them for every month... Best of Luck!!!!!

The child seat thing doesn't matter, so your picture is useless.

This is why you have liability insurance. Notify your insurer that this woman has mentioned soft tissue injuries, and let them handle it. You probably won't hear anything more out of her for at least a year and a half.

18 months or so from now, you'll be served with a statement of claim and advised that you are being sued for several million dollars because of her permanent and life-altering injuries. Don't even read it, just hand it over to your insurance company and they'll take it from there. That's how this all works, and evidently (since she mentioned soft tissue) this woman already knows how to play the system.

Seriously, don't read the accusations in the statement. They're going to accuse you of everything under the sun, including being drunk and stoned and mentally incompetent and unqualified to drive, and it'll make you mad. They do that on purpose, hoping that you'll call them up and threaten them - which will kill your case. Let your insurer deal with all of it, and they'll call you if they need you.

As long as you notify them right away, your insurer will take care of it. They'll hire (and pay) a lawyer, they'll deal with this idiot and her lawyer, and they'll probably settle out of court. They have the right to do that, and they do it often. Instead of spending twenty thousand to go to trial and win, they'll offer her 2 grand to just shut up and go away. Remember, it's their problem not yours at that point. Never take this stuff personally.

If you take matters into your own hands, your insurer can refuse to cover you. Part of the deal is they take over as soon as you're sued, because they know how this lawsuit game is played. That's why you have to let them handle it.

You just leave it on your insurance company they would find out. When you are right she can't claim anything on you.
