I've got a few memories of them. Most notably the 1993 playoff game where they blew a 32 point lead to the Buffalo Frank Reich's. That and Buddy Ryan fighting with Kevin Gilbride on the sidelines during a game.

I think Earl Campbell and the pj's someone bought my son who was about 7 at the time that had the Houston Oilers logo on them. I thought it was odd since I live in Michigan and am a lions fan. he loved them, though.

Oh sure! "Love ya' blue" and "Dome Sweet Dome". Bum Phillips, Dan Pastorini, Curly Culp, Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, Earl Campbell, Warren Moon and Earnest Givens. That great offensive line of the 80's. All those great playoff games against the Steelers.
I miss all of those guys. The Houston Texans just don't have the same panache.

You say Houston Oilers, I think "Chuck and Duck." In the 80s, the AFC Central(I think it was called the central back then, was a murderers row. Any given years, Houston, Pittsburgh, Cinci or Cleveland could make it to the AFC title game.

Yep, remember watching Earl Campbell and his battering ram style of play. He was something else.

Not that long ago, but yes. I remember Warren Moon mostly, and also that one year they played in Memphis on the way to Nashville, which was a disaster.

It's a shame they couldn't win a super bowl with that run and shoot offense. But they didn't have any D.
