Are the Muslim Brotherhood EXTREMIST?

Apparently, Dr. Rafiq Habib, a *Christian* professor, who was previously nominated to fill the vice presidency for the Muslim Brotherhood party, is now the Acting Chairman of the party, and leading it through this turbulent period. This, according to Aljazeera and World-bulletin:

What does this say about the Muslim Brotherhood? Are they really an extremist group as we are led to believe?

If you  want to know about Muslims and Islam , don't listen to what people say or what the media reports. Read well the Coran and the tradition of the prophet Muhamad (peace be upon Him) and you will find out whether Muslims are extremists or not.

In 2007 or 2008 they advocated for clerics to oversee the government. Any organization which calls for a theocracy is extremist.

The Muslim Brotherhood's stated aim is to instill the Qur'an and Sunnah as the "sole reference point for ...ordering the life of the Muslim family, individual, community ... and state."  They are responsible for Hamas being in control of Gaza.   In the recent events its followers have burnt down 80 churches and for Christians who won't convert to Islam, have either killed them or forced them to pay the jizya tax.
Does that sound non-extremist to you?
