Can I get fit in 3-4 weeks time?

I have a treadmill and was thinking of running everyday. Im planning to start on monday. Im in school so I'll try to wake up early and run for atleast 10-15 minutes a day and control my diet. So.. Can I get fit in 3-4weeks time? Im not that fat, but im also not that skinny. I just want to have a toned body. (Im 14 if that helps).. Thank you! (If you know some home exercises to share that would be great)

If you really want to get fit, you'd need to do at least 30 mins of cardio a day. More is better, but vary the exercises and DO NOT over do them; doing the same type of cardio everyday will increase your chances of injury significantly.

So, a good weekly timetable would be:

    Monday: jogging 25-40 mins.

    Tuesday: swimming for 30 mins.

Wednesday: take a walk (taking a walk is a great exercise but you have to stress yourself all the time - the same thing goes with all the other exersices, aswell).

Thursday: doing some rope jumping for 25-30 mins, or, do some jogging or swimming.

Friday: do some cycling, but keep in mind that you have to it intense; good cardio is considered anything that will elevate your heart rate to 70-85% of your maximum for at least 20-25 mins.

Remember, if you do cardio between 25-40 mins a day, you will keep burning fat for approximately 48 hours AFTER the workout. Plus, you should burn about 1-2 pound a week.

Also, if you wanna get in better shape go workout in the gym (or at home). About 3 times a week at the gym is stated to be best. At home, do some pushups, pullups, crunches aswell, etc.

In order to remove fat, or just get fit, you also have to eat well. Try to eat these types of food, and vary them as much as you can during the week: dishes like, turkeybreast, fish (tuna, salmon etc), beans, eggs, tofu, are all great choices for more protein. Try to eat different types of pasta or potatoes, lots of rice, for carbohydrates (carbs). Then, it is absolutely essential that you eat vegetables like, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, squash, eggplant, and fruit in general like, bananas, apples, grapes, cherries, pomegranates and so on.

Remeber, it is important that you eat small dishes frequently during the day, rather than 2 big dishes a day. Also, drink LOTS of water; Burns fat, and keeps you full during the day, decreasing your appetite for food.

So, to answer your question weather you can get fit in 4 weeks or not: Following the above steps, will definetely get you in BETTER shape, but to get fit in 4 weeks is not possible; Getting fit is a long journey and requires you to workout, exercise, eat and drink well - don't eat them bad foods and so on. Also, it is not so important when you do the exersices as actually doing them.

Hope you found this somehow helpful and lotsa luck :-)

You can get fit in 4 weeks but running for just 10 minutes will not do anything. If anything at least one hour a day with a proper diet, then you will get your results.
