Jehovah witnesses, why you dont have mustache?

I notice this in all the men in this religion. Where in the bible says that, and why Jesus did.

lol, I'm an ex-Jehovah's Witness and you make no sense.

They are allowed to have mustaches, beards or any combination. There's no edict against facial hair in the Bible, nor do the JW's say there is! When I was a Witness I knew plenty of fellow male Witnesses who had facial hair (some shouldn't have and other's should have taken better care of what they had,) but the fact is, your drawing a wrong conclusion.

Nice that you would just assume. Not.

Wow you mean to say that you have visited every single country and noticed all our brothers don't sport moustaches? Crumbs you should be in the Guinness book of records!

Most are clean shaved because they prefer to be clean shaved; however I know of some who have moustaches and even one is an elder lol

But it is also culture thing. So in some areas, the general air could be that ones are not looked upon with favour for sporting them and so brothers will refrain for that purpose.

As long as the Moustache is trimmed etc, then there is nothing wrong with wearing one; as you so rightly point out, Jesus did!

I did at one time [about 30 years ago], mainly to save time shaving. But it did tend to make me look older than I was, so in the end I shaved it off.

Fact is, there is nothing to prevent a JW man from having a moustache, given, as you say, there is nothing in the Bible that says they cannot.

But let me ask you, who would you prefer to have calling at your door to present the good news of God's Kingdom to you? A scruffy, unkempt man with a scraggy beard and moustache, one who clearly has no regard for the sensitivities of others that his appearance creates? Or one who is well presented in all respects?

Why are you asking this question, may I ask?

JWs can have beards or facial hair but the idea is to be clean and presentable and to honour Jehovah in our appearance.

Apart from that, its a bit naff to have a tash now days isnt it :) May be in the 70s and 80s but now?

    I don't have one because I'm a girl.

Jehovah's Witness men who choose to can wear moustaches* if they so wish. I don't know if they are very popular in America but more so in Eastern European countries and some other countries like Turkey and Greece... There is a brother in my congregation (I live in France) with THE most spectacular moustache you have ever seen, for the first few months I knew him I couldn't stop staring at it, but you get used to them with time...

that is not true. my son has a mustache. you must be talking about a beard. in Jesus Christ day men did wear beard but today I love a clean shaved man

I thought it was beards? I've known quite a few who had mustaches.

The men aren't allowed to have beards, but most of the women can get away with it.

No where. I used to have one. It all depends of the culture. All we can do is go one the culture of Jesus' day. Do you have a moustache?

This is all about how the world views a person with facial hair and seems to differ from congregation to congregation. Some have had privileges remove because of a beard even if it's well groomed. This is when the preferences of the elders becomes the rule and if you disagree then you are rebellious and need council.
