Poll: When this great Nation Shuts down on Oct 1st?

Government shutdown is such a misused term. Tax and fee revenues will continue to come in. Social Security and other bills will continue to be paid. All that will stopped is the deficit spending. Tax revenues are at all time highs so the problem is the spending. Claims that police and firemen will be laid off are bogus. Only reasons that would happen is if they are paid with Federal funds, which should not be since they are local services, or if the government chooses to cut those services instead of the stupid stuff money is wasted on. There are plenty of non-essential programs that we did fine without before the government inserted itself. Those should be cut and people would find they were not needed today either.
