If the branches of military financially help you why do I see so many homeless veterans and many in conditions?
I rode the bus the other day and noticed a lot of veterans there and I see community events for free medical exams. Why are they treated like this when they gave up so much for its citizens? Am I wrong if so how?

And you are sure they are veterans because they had on a hat or a coat...both of which could be bought at an military surplus store.
I am sure there are a few homeless vets but very few since there are services available for them.

and you know they are veterans, how ?
here is a secret for you
you hear on TV all the time about homeless veterans and groups that supposedly help them, etc
but the secret the media never mentions
is that none of those groups and I mean none at all
has ever verified the veterans status of those they claim were veterans
IE: they simply ask the homeless person, are you a veteran, if they say yes, then they list them as veterans
now think about it, your homeless and some group comes out giving free stuff to any homeless person that says they are a veteran
and they ask you are you a veteran, what are you gonna say ?
say no and get no free stuff
or say yeas im a veteran and get free stuff
2. and of course, the groups have no reason to verify the veterans status, because the more people claiming they are veterans -- then the more funding they get

Once you are out of the Service, there is NO Financial Help
from the Military...
They can file for Unemployment...
Go to College...
If Homeless they can go to the "Homeless Office"
at any VA Medical Facility (Hospital)...

Serving in the military does automatically qualify you for lifelong pay or medical care. To receive retirement pay you must serve a minimum of 20 years, unless medically retired sooner. In order to be qualified for lifelong medical care if not retired, you must be certified by the VA to have a service connected disability. Military service is not a social program to support people who voluntarily sign up for service!

Yeah...every bum holding up a scrap of cardboard with "Veteran" printed on it is telling the truth
Are you really that gullible and naive?
