what's the best vehicle for country roads?
I'm looking into getting a different vehicle. Living in the country the roads ain't exactly the greatest year-round. I'm just looking for options/suggestions......must have good fuel economy, easy to work on/with, under 25-30k and of course able to take on the roads year round. Also I'd prefer domestic makes but will consider imports.
The roads round here have a bunch of DEEP potholes and areas of loose gravel. In the winter some don't ever get plowed. Also I forgot to mention I need it to be able to seat 4-5 people easily

Any 4x4 truck would do well. If the roads are gravel. then you may as well look for one wit bad paint.
