Boyfriend dumped me via facebook?

Im 15 and a half live in england,Well i got a message atin the morning saying basically theres alot of **** going on he needs to clear his head so could we take a break for a bit and he doesn't want to leave forever but just a break till he clears his head ..first i thought well its an easy way of dumping me for another girl but then he told me reasons why he dumped me its serious with his family but then he said he was forced to dump me, i didnt ask cause i know hes ina bad place but i just wanna know does he still care or is he just doing this? What should i say to him should i still keep texting him like what would make him WANT to come back to i dont want to move on? Thanks! Help please i feel like ****
