What is the difference between stew and curry?

    Curry is a seasoning. There are many variations of curry seasoning. Most of them contain coriander, cumin and turmeric. It can include any combination of ground peppers, ginger, cinnamon, fenugreek, clove and cardamom. Stew usually is like a soup with a thick broth or gravy and bite size pieces of meat and root vegetables.

    Mostly the spices. A curry is a stew but it is flavored with curry spices and and stew is usually flavored with thyme and/or sage.
