I want to open a bingo hall somewhere in the united states?

but i want to do it for personal financial profit. I know some places make you do it for charitable reasons only, but my girlfriend works in a bingo hall in texas and she says the owner seems very well off, someone explain to me how one can start a bingo hall for personal profit?

Find a jurisdiction (usually a state) that allows Bingo for profit. California is not a bingo for profit state.

Find a way to make your game stand out. Usually there legal limits to how much you can pay for each bingo win. So nearly all bingo games will pay out the same amount of money to a winner. So you can get an edge by giving away very nice door prizes. Maybe you can get a flat screen TV bartered in exchange for free advertising and then you give away the TV as a door prize. States may not have limits on the value of door prizes.

You're not going to like this, but I promise you it's the truth.

If you have to ask this question in a forum like Yahoo! Answers, then this is NEVER going to happen for you.

The only places I've ever seen with for profit Bingo are casinos. That fact makes it even more impossible for you, but it's irrelevant. If you can't figure these things out with a little research, then you don't have what it takes to open your own business of any sort.
