Enlisted to NROTC question (NAVY)?
So I wanted to see if anyone had information on whether or not a prior salior of an age of 27 could join the NROTC while finishing up two more years of college. I currently already have a AAS degree and plan to get a BS. I would prefer to do a NROTC while finishing school, but would I need a age waiver or am I fine? I could just use the GI and work towards a BS the go for OCS, but I thought NROTC would be the safer route in becoming an Officer. Isn't the max age to be commissioned 35 years old? Thanks everyone for reading, just setting up plans and goals ahead of time.

- Not less than 17 years old by Sept. 30 of year starting college and no more than 23 on December 31 of that year
- Must not have reached 27th birthday by December 31 of year in which graduation and commissioning are anticipated
- Applicants with prior military service may be eligible for age adjustments for amount of time equal to their prior service, on month-by-month basis, for maximum of 36 months, if they will not reach 30th birthday by December 31 of year graduation and commissioning are anticipated
You might barely squeak in, depending on how fast you can get your B.S.

you can try and do NROTC
but, having a associates degree, does NOT mean you only have two years left to earn a BS Degree
to earn a BS degree, you have to complete the degree requirements of the BS degree
so from basically none of your associates credits to most of them, could be transferred
it just depends on what class's you took for your AS and what is needed for your BS

NROTC's going to take you four years to get through. You won't make it through before the previously mentioned age limit cuts you off.
