Can a baby drink Coke zero?

So I have a friend that I saw give their baby some coke zero???! She said it's ok because other moms do it and said it's ok. Is it just me or is that sorta messed up? I would think there is a reason you don't have soda for babies on the market. Could find anything online about this so someone let me know what's up

Let me just say this: my 7 and 9 year old are not allowed coke, coke zero, caffeine free coke or any type of coke full stop. And won't be allowed for some years to come.

That's a terrible idea, that's how kids grow up with bad habits! A baby should be drinking milk/formula and water. Juice should be a treat. There's no reason a little kid should ever be drinking soda. Soda is an adult vice that we only drink for pleasure, there's nothing healthy about it, either the sugary or the sugar-free!

Wow! I can't believe that, there seems to be a rise in parents who give no consideration to what they or their children ingest. No, it is certainly not advisable for a baby to be drinking soda, especially one with artificial sweeteners in it. The carbonation is going to be hard on an infant's sensitive tummy and cause him/her more gas, thus making the baby uncomfortable. Soda is actually one of the leading causes of weight gain in adults, so obviously your friend doesn't pay attention to any of the health concerns that have been found associated with soda. It saddens me to hear stories like this.

What a disgusting excuse for a mother.

Just becuase it states it has "no sugar" does not mean it isn't loaded with artificial sweeteners.

Coca Cola has caffeine in it. That is bad for a fully grown adult, let alone a baby!

I would seriously talk to her.

That's horrible! Coke zero contains aspartame, which may cause neurological and other problems in adults, let alone babies whose brains aren't even fully developed yet! I'm afraid that child may develop mental abnormalities! I never purchase anything containing aspartame. Never.

If I can eat it, you better believe my baby can eat it. Except alcohol and shrooms of course.
