Solution for getting around local delivery only?
There is a non-perishable food item that I'd very much like to buy, and it's only available for local grocery store delivery to people living in New York City. I live in West Virginia, and these sites will only delivery groceries un-packaged to local residences. Is there any solution possible to this that would allow me to buy and receive this item (short of driving to New York)?
Any kind of middle man, or some other potential way?

You might be able to talk them into doing it for you if you offer to pay them more or ask them if there is a store closer to you who would have the item and deliver it...

In my case, I would contact one of my friends who lives on Long Island. I would ask if he could get said item the next time he was in the City, if he had time, to get said item. I would then ask him to ship it to me. I would reimburse him for any shipping costs and perhaps subway fare for going from his location to the grocery store.
