Just imagine that a new simple test has been put on the market which could reliable indicate that, when mixed with a bodily fluid, can show that the person being tested had recently had sexual intercourse. However the test is expensive. Would you buy it and for what purpose?

Why would I want to buy it? The only people that would find it of any use whatsoever are those who don't trust their partner. After that it all boils down to whether they can afford it or whether they want to pay it.
For people in a trusting relationship it's a pointless purchase.
