Jehovah's Witnesses, where is this verse that Guy Pierce mentioned in the Bible?

You are abusing punctuation marks, making it seem like that was a direct quote from Jesus.

Jesus said "Indeed, it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one particle of a letter of the Law to go unfulfilled" (Luke 16:17)

We know that heaven and earth are here to stay, so what the word of God says is definitely true and is to be believed.

Just like we know the sun will ALWAYS come up, so our confidence in the Bible is VERY strong.

Not sure whether you really thought Jesus said those words, or whether you just didn't understand the hyperbole....

He was correct to say that, but that is not the way I have always looked at that verse.

I should have thought of that.

There are two possibilities...

The Govening Body knows JWs would never check the Bible to verify anything the GB says.

Or

Since the Governing Body claims to be God's sole appointed spokesman , God communicated to him in some undisclosed manner.

It is an illustration he used in conversation.

Not every word you say is a scripture either , is it ?
