I just bought a 93 jeep grand Cherokee AWD?

The jeep gave out on the highway & had it towed & stored , a year later in diagnosing the problem checking off reasons why it won't move .

Trans mission fluid is clean & don't stink one bit & has lots of fluid so tell me I'm correct , & I'm assuming the transfer case is empty because I see leakage .

What if I tried refilling the case ? Would the jeep be fixed ?

What if I tried refilling the case ? What are you talking about; the transfer case?

Your neutral safety switch is more than likely the problem. Neutral safety switch failure is a common problem with the AW4 transmission. Which was the only year Jeep/Chrysler stuck it into the Grand Cherokee. The AW4 will last a lifetime if kept cool and with fresh fluid and filter.

Or it could be a variety of issues, because your explanation of the problem really tells us nothing.

Even if the transfer case was empty, it should still move.

    Your trans may be shot.
