That will allow you to delete your account. Be aware it will also remove all things you need your Yahoo password to sign in to, including your Y! mail account.

Or, you could hover over the gear in the top right, then go to help and learn how to navigate the new answers.

The alternative to deleting your Yahoo account is.....If you do not want to use the new format, For Now you can use the Canada site as it is still the old format and has the same q&a. http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/

There are two threads by Staff that you can add to on the Suggestion board.

    #1 Feedback/Comments on the new Y!A format

#2 Bugs/issues related to the new Y!A format

If you want to close your Yahoo account

Before closing your account, just know :

•A closed account cannot be reactivated – While you can always sign up for a new account, closing an account will remove and delete it from the Yahoo! network.

If you want to close your Yahoo account Visit the Account Termination page.

You really can't. Only Yahoo can delete a YA account however, you could do this: Click your avatar, delete all your contacts click edit my info, delete the info in your profile including your personal avatar if you had one, set everything to private and , uncheck to receive ims or emails, click save don't return to the site.Your questions and answers remain on the site they are the property of Yahoo.

it does not affect your email account, it remains active.

An alternative would be to completely close all your Yahoo accounts.Go below, follow the prompts. http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en_US&page=c...
