Out of all the lefties who post questions here,?

Hmmmm....and not forgetting people who are disliked by the question poster for 'their opinions' on past posted questions (by anyone) on any subject....which causes (again) a dislike toward that answerer....no matter how valid 'their' answer is.

In answer to a question - a given agreement is OK....followed by reasoning for that agreement.

I've seen many 'good answers' to a question that have been (as you've suggested) ignored for a 2 line answer from someone including a (trendy) swear word.!!

Its just a game - surely no one takes the BA award seriously when given to a mindless answer to a (supposed) serious question.

Of course not forgetting this site is 'saturated' with Internet bedroom dwellers (18-20hrs a day)....of all ages - whose daily hobby is using this Q/A site as 'their personal' agenda site.

At the end of the day - 'we' all had a 'say' too a question of interest to 'us'....having done that - 'we' move on to the next question of interest.....BA comes as a pleasant surprise - but nothing more.!!

That's true for both sides. I get the same response from people on the right as well as the left.

And it has nothing to do with being liberal OR conservative. It has everything to do with ideological purity.

To maintain a liberal or conservative position is merely to assent to a series of ideas, but to be an ideologue is to maintain that there is no other way of looking at things than the way the ideologue does. Hence, any ideas other than those which parrot the questioner are regarded as inconsequential and therefore not worthy of consideration.

It's called, "Selective Perception," and is a classic way of dealing with Cognitive Dissonance.

Perhaps you should read some of the daft answers you get from the right wingers on here. You can give a detailed answer of absolute right wing nonsense and expect to get BA for it? You seem like a very confused person.

BA for me?

A) It isn't true, from what I've seen, but hyperbole a la "every single!!!!...." and gross misrepresentations of true *are* things I see every day from both righties and lefties.

B) Tip of the hat to two previous respondents.

Because they are insecure and are merely looking for validation rather than debate?...

I would throw the same line at athiests, righties and bible-thumpers.

With most of them it's because they are narrow minded and have already lost the argument.
