Oldsmobile 307 cap and rotor tune up?
Hello, is it difficult to change out the distributor cap/rotor on an 307 Olds? I plan on doing a full blown tune up to include all fluid changes, but don't want to leave out the cap and rotor when i do plugs and wires. She's definitely a head turner and i want this beauty to run as good as she looks; '83 Ninety-Eight Regency Brougham.
Also, i forgot to add that the speedo doesn't work, soooo is it cable driven and if so, where is that sucker located, thnx!

Should be electronic ignition, may not be more than two screws on the side of the cap, and pull the rotor off and replace it. If your going this far, replace the coil as well. Its the big part on top of the distributor.
It takes 4 screws to take off.

You can't be serious. If you don't know how to change a cap and rotor you have no business under the hood.

fairly easy. But you really need to also check the timing and gap the points if it has any.
