Should I keep this a secret?
Well I have kept alot of secrets suppressed as a child but they are now emerging and I'm realizing that in order to move on with my life I need to just put them out there so I can get over them. One of my most suppressed memories from my childhood and is coming up the most happens to be the fact that when I was around 5 years old my brother older brother (who at the time was well in his 20's) did in fact molested me and on numerous occasions tried to rape me. This was also a person that would torture me by dragging me from my bed in the middle of the night and holding my head in a oven set on broil. Who also held me up against the wall when I was a infant by my neck strangling me until I blacked out. I know it all sounds so dark but its been 18 years and this is all in the past; so is it really necessary to talk about? Should I really cause so much heat and damage to my already cracked family? And besides I really doubt anyone would really believe me its been so long I don't really think anyone would really care. But my question is should I really say anything about all of this?

Thats shocking to read and terrifying to imagine that a child would experience that
I'm sorry
Talking about it with someone who is qualified to answer and understand will not only help you realise first you were not at fault
Second it brings to the surface acceptance it happened so it's not hidden away like an evil monster or boofey man
Thirdly it strengthens you into becoming a stronger and assured human being
Finally it doesn't let the past control who you are now or wish to be in the future
Please remember that
All the best

I'd get some counseling to help you with what you went through and discuss with them whether you should bring this up with your family or not.
