I have a 6 yr old sheltie and the vet put her on thyroid meds?

she has been on them for about a month recently she started peeing on the floor .We,ll take her out she.ll go but yet a few mintes later she has to ago again. Could it be the thyroid meds that is making this happen? I am taking her to the vet in the morn, but just want an answer from someone on here with the same problem. thanks.

I don't remember thyroid meds causing a dog to have these symptoms. More than likely she has a urinary tract infection or even bladder stones. Your vet will check her urine for this and if needed place on an antibiotic. A UTI can be painful and she probably feels the need to go often even though she may only have a small amount of urine to pass. Hope it is not anything serious.
