£944 for PC build, are my parts worth it?

    It's a bit expensive IMO, you could save a fortune by going for an AMD processor instead of the Intel, for a couple of hundred less you could get one every bit as fast if not faster. AMD's are easier to overclock with their own safe software doing it automatically so you can safely run 4.2 Ghz.

    I would spend a tad less on the motherboard, get a 500 w power supply, and consider dropping the optical drive if you are going to download games from the internet (Steam and Origin). You should also consider purchasing a FX-6300 processor
