Need to deal with my speakers in my 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee.?
My speakers are having problems and I would like to fix the problem. I have a second generation Jeep Grand Cherokee (99-04) that I can pull parts from. So my question is whats wrong with them? Bad wires or are the speakers themselves bad? And also will the second gen Jeep speakers work in my first gen?

don't know what you're hearing but the original speakers are probably ruined after 10 years. wires last a lot longer than factory speakers, but factory wiring isn't exactly excellent either. still, you can get decent replacement speakers for $40 bucks off crutchfield.

Probably bad speakers; this is very common in the Jeeps and other Chryslers (including newer ones). The front speakers in the 99-04 are 6x9" while the '93 uses 6-1/2" speakers, so they won't transfer.
