Why are we back to this version of answers? The old version is soooo much better and easier to use.?
Whoever came up with this mess should be shuttled off to Timbuktu.

I just can't deal with the purple mess, as I call it. I went on it just now and discovered everyone could see my Q&A's, even deleted ones, even though I set them on private. Halfway through I also could no longer see my profile anywhere, I simply could not get it anywhere on the site. I ended up logging off and going to the green YA, just to see my own profile.

It takes a little getting used to. Normally, I am not a big fan of change for no good reason. However, this change really does seem to be an improvement, once one gets used to some things' being in a different place.
It looks like Yahoo really is making the switch. Using another country's site to get the old format, as some suggest doing, is just postponing the inevitable. I say use the new one and get used to it. Be patient with yourself as you're learning your way around the new format.
I like the in-line answering and the convenience of the Add Media link and the fact that everyone can now use the thumbs ratings system. I also like that, if you know where to look, you can see who gave you a thumbs-up rating. I got sent to the old version yesterday for a little while, and really missed some of these new features. I find it an improvement.
There is a brief tutorial on the new Y!A format. I found it helpful, though I still had to ask about a few things. You might find it helpful, too. Here's where you can watch it:

You answered my Q on a manual transmission RC car..... I would have a pretty big controller that would have throttle, clutch, shift switch etc. The car itself would be gas powered so it would go faster than electric but the remote would still be electric and would send radio signals to the car to tell it to clutch and shift. In my head it makes sense to work but you probably know more than me.
