Spelling of "Corps"?

Do you think that everyone who spells 'corps' as 'core' or 'corp' thinks that those who spell it correctly are actually wrong?

Depends, corp, core and corps are totally diffenent

Core: the core of an apple/or planet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetary_core

Corps: as in the military http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corps

Corp: can be short for corporation or corporal http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/corp

Yeah.... I'm in AFJROTC and every year we have people apply to positions that they can do in our unit, like flight commander's, squadron commanders, whatever.

I read over them and everyone spells it "I want to be so and so to really help our core" or something, and whenever we ask them about it they think we're the dumbass.

Good to see you asking a ''QUESTION MAJ KEV'', as it goes to show you that ''COMMISSIONED OFFICERS'', are only ''HUMAN'' and do ''NOT'' know everything!! No, i actually think that you ''MAY'' be ''RIGHT'' sometimes ''MAJ KEV''!! The correct spelling, as you say ''MAJOR, SIR'', is ''CORPS'', and if they state it as ''CORE'' or ''CORP''-as i have; they just ''DO NOT KNOW ANY BETTER''!! I do ''LUV'' you ''MAJOR KEV'' and ''I'' do ''LOVE'' the ''U.S. ARMED FORCES'' and ''AMERICA'' and ''AMERICA'S PEOPLES''!! I just can ''NOT COMPREHEND'' or ''BELIEVE'' what ''COWARDICE CANADA'' and ''COWARDICE COMMONWEALTH''; is doing, has done, to ''ALL OF THE ALLIED MILITARY'S'', ''THEIR COUNTRIES'' and ''THEIR PEOPLES''!!!
