People who hate anime spoilers?
Let me first start off by saying that I do hate spoilers, and I'm sure many other people feel the same. But, there is a way to eliminate the fear of spoilers, and that is to read the manga/series that the anime is based off of. Why don't people do this?
I mean, there are genuine reasons for people not reading the manga. Like, for battle series, action sequences are hard to visualize, battle effects can't be heard, etc.
Maybe some people just don't like to read. But, if you're watching subtitled anime, you're still reading the dialogue nonetheless, so both involve extensive reading.
If people are afraid of spoilers, why not just read the manga to prevent it? All reasons that people give for not reading manga are valid, but doesn't the benefit of not fearing spoilers overweigh all those reasons? Also, you can't just tell people to stop revealing spoilers to solve the problem, because, let's face it, the internet will always be full of spoilers and you can't stop those people from leaking them. So, just read the manga to prevent this. Comments?

The best way not to be spoiled is not engage in forums and online discussions about anime and manga series. People who don't know that are just stupid. Yes, reading the manga does prevent spoiling, but many times there are hundreds of manga that a person could read. It does take a long time to read that much manga. Maybe some of those people don't have enough time to read those manga. However, it is part of the etiquette of that anime and manga community to include spoiler alerts if they are discussing major plot events in a manga or anime. Its just somehow fair. Plus, it doesn't take the person too long to type : [Spoiler Alert].

This does make sense. I do find it hard to read manga because I read very quickly and I find it easier to watch things because I do get lost and I connect with the characters better. I do read spoilers on anime/manga I get bored in. Like I read the end of bleach on a wiki site. To be honest the ending sucked so... But this is just how I work. :)

But then the manga can get spoiled too, by people who are farther ahead then you are, so you'd still have to fear spoilers. Sometimes the manga is also different from the anime and they're two different stories.

A lot of people are just too lazy to read the Manga, or they have no interest what so ever in comics.
It's kind of like the whole Marvel comics movies. A lot of people got into them and loved them, but would never show the slightest interest in reading the comics.
Avengers for example has an almost "Twilight" like fanbase of fvcktards who love the movie and try to claim to be big fans of the Avengers or individual characters when they haven't read any of the comics. It's fine if the movies got you into the comics, but don't act like you are some comic "Nerd" because you saw the movie and read maybe a few comic before you got bored........

reading manga is kind of a chore for me tbh. I'd rather watch something and read along because I just have to sit back and watch. But, unless it's a mystery series, I really don't mind spoilers at all
