Feminists, shouldn't you rename your movement?

It seems to me like almost every time I talk to a feminist, they hold views that belong to one of the following two categories:

CATEGORY 1: They believe in female superiority, or female supremacy.

This includes those who think that since men have had it better for so long, now women should have it better.

It also includes those who think that women are just inherently superior.

These are the true feminists (in my opinion). These are also people I want nothing to do with. Further, I believe that these people are a tiny minority.

CATEGORY 2, They believe in striving towards a society where there is gender equality. i.e. women have the same, (or "fair" where sameness doesn't apply, like in areas regarding childbirth) rights to those of men.

To those who fall in Category 1, I have nothing to say. They are irrational, and immoral.

To those who stand in Category 2, I agree.

However, regardless of the way they think this should be achieved, and regardless of whether I agree with that particular way, isn't the name "feminism" wrong?

It seems to me that calling an equal gender rights movement feminism is akin go calling an anti-racism movement the "white-power movement".

Wouldn't a better, more accurate and less one-sided name be "Gender Equalist", or something along those lines?

I feel that "feminism" is a horrible name that does not help their cause.

no - women can self identify as anything they want, women's liberation is relevant and always will be relevant

    furthermore

the equalists that post here - have joked about ejaculating in womens's faces

have stated that the family court asset strips all men in all divorces

can't see why police arrest suspects and remove them from the scene in domestic violence cases , etc, etc

these views are hardly equal - and i haven't listed the ones that troll sex themes and rape...every other day and vilify both straight women and lesbians as man haters...

these are the leading lights of equalism!!

No feminism just needs to redefine it's original definition to something like feminism movement that strives to make women equal to men in society or advocation of womens right rather than equal rights and oppurtunities for both men and women which implies that they would fight for mens right too this is better makes them sound them less like hypocrites and liar

The feminists I dislike are the ones who claim to be for equality - yet downplay or even straight ignore issues effecting men.

A typical response from a feminist about a male issue is "cry me a river"

    Thats why I hate feminism.

Equalism™ is a term that seems to have the right meaning.
