No I don't. The Police have a very good idea who to stop and search and if it gets drugs and weapons off the streets then I am all for it.

You have nothing to worry about unless your a Pakistani male like myself or if your black I get searched at least once a month weather it's on the street or in my car, I don't have a criminal record but have been arrested in the past a long time ago but never been charged with a single crime, when i get pulled over it's usually NAME then ARE YOU KNOWN TO THE POLICE then few min later the nice lady on his radio will reply male is known to police and then name all the times I've been arrested in past and then DONT MOVE kEEP YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM! YEH CAN I HAVE ANOTHER UNIT AT MY LOCATION and then the search begins! In the end it's WHERE JUST DOING OUR JOB and HAVE A NICE DAY lol I'm sure that's discrimination being stopped for no reason and then searching me on the grounds I've been arrested along time ago and been proven to be innocent each time? I started collecting the receipts and tried to complain but then I found out you have to complain about the police to the police and the police investigate them selfs? I was told the police have done nothing wrong and just doing their job it's sad really it is discrimination but it happens to people like me so often it's deemed normal to us we expect for it to happen and then you'll get other people who won't come across the police their whole lives? And for the record I'm 27 don't smoke or drink work full time 12 hour shifts have two kids pay mortgage basically I'm just trying to say Incase some of you are thinking I'm a criminal or something I'm not I'm a normal person just like you, I don't live in the best of areas but it's not rife with crime it's just a lil town but ask any asian about stop and search and they will tell you if it's discriminatory or not, I don't blame the police officers 8/10 are really nice it's just how they are trained I suppose? Because it's the exact routine every single time.

It's discriminatory in that they can only stop and search a person if they have good grounds to do so (e.g. that person fits the description of someone who is alleged to have committed an offence).

It depends on what their good reason to do so entails. does it mean they can stop anybody that remotely looks like a suspect as that could be many a person, or is it limited to same clothing colour, same race, size build. etc..

If its a case of searching anybody, then that is wrong..

You cant just search anybody for any old reason it cant be right.

The policy is not discriminatory but it may be enforced in a discriminatory way.
