What engine rebuild kit should I choose?

I have a 1976 ford f250 with a C6 transmission and I want to take out the 460 that's in it because it has problems. I have a 360 just back from being redone and now I need a great rebuild kit so that I can have performance, quality, and something that will last. How much horsepower can I get out of a 360 that has been bored to 390. If possible I'd like to get 500 or so, I'll take less but if more is possible I'll take that too. I've looked on summit racing and I'm not sure if a kit would be better or if different parts mixed and matched will be better, any information will help, thanks.

Update:

Ok yes stroke not bore, and don't worry about the bell housing because i've got another C6 with a bell housing that will work with the 390. Everything else is square away I just need to find a good kit to finish the 390.

A 360 and a 390 had the same bore from the factory (4.050"), the only difference was the stroke (3.5" for the 360 vs. 3.784 for the 390). Worse yet, your 360-390 isn't going to bolt up to your C6......takes a totally different bellhousing from your 460. To take a 360 to 390 cubes, you need a crankshaft swap.

Edit: A set of Edelbrock Performer heads would give you a shot at making 1 HP per cube. An Edelbrock 2105 intake will shave about 80 pounds from the weight of the engine and give you another 15-20 HP & ft/lbs of torque. IF you can get past not making 500HP, I think a Crane Energizer might be just the ticket here P/N 13405 for the cam, 99281-16 for the lifters. It's a single pattern cam with 216 degrees duration @ .050 lifter rise, .533" lift at the valve (.523" if you don't have 1.76-ratio 427 rockers laying around. 390's had non-adjustable 1.73 rockers) a tightened 110 Lobe Separation Angle....all these ingredients make for low-end torque.......just what you need in a 3/4-ton pick-up.
