Is there a difference between having a philosophy and having an ideology?

    Ideology is philosophy with all the questions left out. And so is religion.

    Yes.

    A "philosophy" is a set of general guidelines you have for yourself, that are (supposedly) the result of thought and consideration, and which aren't absolute.

    An ideology is a rigid set of dogmatic rules someone else came up with, that you consider absolute and unquestionable.

    Ideologues are, sorry to say, idiots.

    People can change their philosophy rather easily, ideologies are codes of what is and isn't in whatever context it may be, and it is a very dangerous thing to have...

    Yes. Not all ideologies are philosophical.
