What is 2/3 as a decimal?

0.6666666666 recurring.

Simply divide 2 by 3 - use long division. Use a calculator if you must, but it is so easy to do without one.

3 does not go into 2, obviously, so the answer has to be 0.something. Add a decimal point after the 2 and then do 3 into 20. It goes 6 times ( 6 x 3 = 18) with 2 left over, so write 6 to the left of the decimal point. The answer so far is 0.6. Of course, you still have 2 left over. 3 won't go into 2, so add another zero and do 3 into 20 again. It goes 6 times, with 2 left over again, so write another 6 after the answer 0.6, so it's now 0.66 and then add another zero to the 2 left over. 3 into 20 goes 6 again, with 2 left over again. So the answer is now 0.666...... and so on!

You need to learn how to do division. That's a very basic skill and if you don't know that, there is a lot you will not be able to do.

2/3 = 0.6666... with 6 repeating indefinitely. you can round it to 0.666...7 with as many places as you need.

It's 2 divided by 3 which works out at .6666 (recurring)

1 is divided by 3, as thats the bottom number.

1/3= 0.33333333333 (recurring (the number never ends))

Then you have to times that number by two as thats on the top

0.33333333333 x 2 = 0.66666 (recurring)

Answer: 0.67.

Just do the long division to find out.

It is .66666666666666666666

The sixes go on indefinitely.
