As a chef I cooked 2 types of dogfish, sea robins, sea cucumbers, I worked in the north of Canada and Japan and had whale meat and blubber, names are not synonymous to them looking like there land cousins, Monkfish or Monkey fish does not look like a monkey, it also known as angler fish in Europe

"Sea kitten" is a name PETA made up for fish, in a lame attempt to generate an emotional response to them. Typical veg*n hyperbole.

Yes I eat fish. If there really was such a thing as a "sea kitten", I might eat those too.

Well if I can eat bambi's dad, thumper's dad and mom, babe's mom, and Aral's (little mermaid) friend the lobster I think I can handle a fish or two. I also eat a wide selection of firuts and vegetables alone with nuts and so on. What I do not eat is fast food or processed foods. They made me fat and sick.

Referring to your (and everyone else's) indifference to suffering is like stating the obvious. You and the rest of the usual suspects on here would eat kittens, period, prefixed by sea or not.

It's a shock tactic used by the environmentalist. If they could stamp aborted chicken fetuses(not actually fertilized) on egg cartons they would

The name is not the basis for my decision what I will and will not eat.

That depends, is it a plant or an animal?

EDIT: WTF is a sea kitten?

It could very well be a plant. Dragon fruit is a fruit, not a dragon.

Kiwifruit is a fruit, not a kiwi.

An alligator pear is an avocado, not an alligator.

Still, it depends on whether it's a plant or an animal. I would only eat it if it were a plant.

EDIT 2: Oh, OK it's a fish. Then no, I would not eat it. The term sounds more like a fairytale creature to me, not an animal that actually exists.

I don't understand how fishes resemble kittens much. If PETA wants people to stop eating fish, they should tell them about the mercury, not their resemblance to kittens.
