Simulated Formula One - All-Time Greats Season for GP2 (DOS)?

Okay so I am trying to get opinions on what my final field of drivers will be for this project. I going to use Grand Prix 2 (DOS) to simulate seasons of races (with different tracks each season) and I have some that are obvious picks but what everyone's opinion on the final spots in the field. There needs to be a total of 28 drivers and here are the ones that are clinched in my opinion:

Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher, Jim Clark, Aryton Senna, Lewis Hamilton, Alain Prost, Jackie Stewart, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Stirling Moss, Kimi Raikkonen, Mika Hakkinen, Nigel Mansell, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, James Hunt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ronnie Peterson, Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt, Gerhard Berger, Mario Andretti, Alberto Ascari. That's 23.

The final five slots would be between:

Damon Hill, Felipe Massa, Juan Pablo Montoya, Jody Scheckter, Carlos Reutemann, David Coulthard, Jacky Ickx, Alan Jones, Jacques Villeneuve, Gilles Villenueve, Dan Gurney, Keke Rosberg.

You want to nominate someone please explain and if you think any of my clinched ones are out please explain. Thanks!

1, Gilles Villeneuve is the best choice there, as he's the best driver not in your original selection.

2+3+4, Rosberg, Scheckter and Jones, as they did actually win the title (regardless of their actual level).

5, Ickx, the best wet-weather driver of his generation.

Bloody hell this is hard. But if I had to make a choice, I would go for:

    Gilles Villeneuve

    Jody Scheckter

    Damon Hill

    Alan Jones

    Keke Rosberg

In my view, they are five legendary drivers, and deserve to be in the race. However, I do agree with the remaining drivers, it's quite interesting to see Fangio's Alfa Romeo come up against Vettel's Red Bull, seeing all the generations of Formula One come together. Although I might be a bit biased to the 70s, 80s and 90s, one of my favourite times of the sport. Good luck with it by the way!

I think you should have Keke Rosberg, Gilles Villeneuve, Damon Hill, Juan Pablo Montoya and Jenson Button.

Jenson Button may not already be on your list but I really think he should be one of your 28 drivers.

He's a smooth driver, he's fantastic in the wet and in changing conditions, he's quite fast and he's a world champion. I think he honestly belongs on your list. When I read it, I want to see his name.

myself i've never been much of whining nigel fan and would not consider gerhard berger to one of the top drivers (but a nice guy nevertheless).

    my personal additions would be:

gilles villeneuve (you had to see it to believe what he could do with a car)

    alan jones (hard charger)

    jacky ickx (smooth driver)

    dan gurney (multi talent)

    bruce mclaren (overall genius)

ivan capelli (never in the car he deserved, but sucha good bloke)

    mark webber (true aussie grit)
